Instructor Support with Plas y Brenin

In partnership with Plas y Brenin the BMC is able to support BMC affiliated clubs with subsidised access to an instructor for a day.

The applications will be taken on a first-come-first-served basis, with a final deadline of 10am on Thursday 30th April 2020.

Clubs must be affiliated to the BMC and all those attending the training must be full members of the club and therefore club members of the BMC.

Please state when you would like the training to take place. If you do not have a specific date then please state approximately which month(s) you would prefer. The training must be completed by 31st August 2020.

The number of members who can attend the training is noted against the options above. Should you wish to double (or treble) the number of students you are able to request to book another instructor. The club will need to pay for any additional instructors (at £270 per instructor) and the payment will go direct to Plas y Brenin. Please detail below if you wish to take up this opportunity.

In submitting this form I confirm that:

  • The information provided on this application form is accurate.
  • I am over 18 years of age and am applying for the support on behalf of the above named club with permission from the committee of the above named club.
  • The club is responsible for confirming a mutually convenient date directly with Plas y Brenin and paying the required balance directly to Plas y Brenin.
  • The club will meet the required deadlines for booking and undertaking the training, and understands that failure to do so may result in the offer of support being withdrawn.
  • In accepting the support the club agrees to provide any required documentation relating to the support (such as completing a feedback form) as may be required by the BMC.



The BMC recognises that climbing, hill walking and mountaineering are activities with a danger of personal injury or death. Participants in these activities should be aware of and accept these risks and be responsible for their own actions and involvement.
